      This was our first stay in Funchal and one we will be sure to repeat. We hired a car and found it easy to get around the island from this house which was an excellent base. We wanted a quiet break and a relaxing atmosphere to celebrate our Ruby Wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed! The property was well appointed, very comfortable with great views over the city. On the first night we dined in a little Brasserie in the old town and enjoyed a good meal, with good service. On the second night we sampled the delights of the local speciality "espada" which was excellent. By the third night we were more than happy to have just bought a bottle of wine and some nice food (which i cooked) and then we sat on the terrace enjoying the evening sunshine. Fabulous. We can thoroughly recommend this house for a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you.
